Since partnering with 68 Sports eight years ago, South Valley Aquatics (SOVA) has seen a transformational impact on our athletes, families, and coaches. The 68 Sports technology provides data-driven insight that elevates player development, sharpens training strategies, increases water polo IQ among families, and empowers parents and athletes with meaningful, fact-based feedback. From club games to high school competition and league play, Game Desk and performance tracking have become essential to how we operate. There is no going back—this is the future of our club.

The 6-8 platform has profoundly impacted our club’s development approach by championing a data-driven methodology. It successfully brings focus to the most critical metrics, moving beyond just scoring goals. Our son’s water polo IQ has seen a 10X growth as a direct result of honing these essential skills. We believe water polo needs to standardize performance metrics, similar to all other major sports, and the 6-8 platform provides the essential tools to achieve that goal.

As parents, we found the analysis and data from 6-8 Sports incredibly valuable. Even when Chase wasn’t getting much playing time at his school or club, the stats confirmed his potential and showed us where he stood among his peers. Tony and Maggie’s advice was critical to his growth, not just in water polo skills, but also in leadership and pool awareness. Having that baseline and seeing where he needed to improve played a huge role in Chase’s path to competing at the Division I level at Long Beach.

After graduating from high school in Brazil, I came to California to attend the 6-8 Academy for the spring semester of 2022. Looking back from my experience I can say with any doubts that it was the best choice I made. This experience not only helped me improve and get the exposure I needed as a water polo player but also helped me become a better person. Being surrounded by the top coaches and mentors in the country who are not only focused on water polo but also in making you become a better version of yourself. After attending the 6-8 Academy I can say that I’m more than ready for college! Thank you Tony, Rico, Maggie, Sara and all the coaches who helped me make the most out this experience!

It’s one thing to see a one-off video of a spectacular play but to truly gauge consistency, you need the data. The 6-8 app does both for our daughter. Showing where she ranks and her performance over time adds incredible value and validation. It is also a great motivator for her to see how far she’s come and what goals she can set and achieve.

In 2021 I spent the summer and fall semesters at the 6-8 Elite Academy. This was an amazing experience that benefits me as a water polo player, but also a person. Being at the academy, you continually surround yourself with mentors and athletes who are willing to push you and teach lifelong lessons. Tony, Rico, Maggie and all of the other incredible coaches bring a level of experience and knowledge that is simply irreplaceable. I learned so much from being there and can consider the 6-8 group my family. Thank you!
