In the competitive landscape of collegiate athletics, visibility is everything. For decades, the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) has worked tirelessly since 2005 to provide a unified voice and abundant resources to programs across the USA.

But as the sport faces modern challenges, from budget cuts to program eliminations, the need for a standardized, data-driven foundation has never been more critical.

In January 2026, 6-8 Sports proudly announced an official, multi-year partnership with the ACWPC. This isn’t just a collaboration; it is a strategic alignment designed to protect and advance the sport by integrating the world’s most advanced water polo technology directly into the collegiate ecosystem.

A Shared Mission: Development and Advancement

The ACWPC’s mission is to promote the development and advancement of collegiate water polo through professional education and a united voice. 6-8 Sports was built on that exact same DNA. By providing coaches with standardized performance data and integrated technology, this partnership ensures that every collegiate program, regardless of level or budget, has access to the analytics necessary to build a solid, sustainable program.

This collaboration reflects a mutual belief in the importance of sustainability, strategic growth, and long-term investment in our sport at the collegiate level.

Standardizing The Scouting Trail

One of the primary goals of this partnership is to eliminate the “guesswork” in recruitment. By utilizing 6-8’s event scoring and technology integration, the ACWPC is giving its membership a standardized format to evaluate the academic and athletic abilities of student-athletes. This alignment creates a seamless pathway from the 6-8 Academy and Showcases directly into the collegiate ranks, ensuring that the best talent in the country—and the world—is recognized and recruited.

Fostering Long–Term Growth

Beyond the data, this partnership is about people. The ACWPC strives to offer coaching insights, strategy, and networking opportunities that foster long-term relationships. By integrating 6-8’s global database and communication efforts, college coaches now have a more powerful way to discover athletes, track their development over years, and ensure that the “overall academic and athletic abilities” of water polo players remain the best in the nation.
